My life started to crumble as soon as I turned 15. Mom always scolds me for waking up late. I’m getting fed up listening to her nag. Then, one day I finally got a solution to solve my problem. Technology! There are so many electronic gadgets out there that makes our life easier nowadays such as car, camera, telephone and most important thing that can solve my problem is an alarm clock!
Mom bought me an alarm clock on my 15th birthday. It was purple in colour and in the shape of a teddy bear. How queer is that? She still thinks I’m still a kid who adores teddy bears. Mom, I’m fifteen! The sound of the clock was so hilarious. Instead of ringing like an ordinary clock, it clucked. A clucking alarm clock! I hated it so much but Mom simply adores the clucking clock. It could wake me up so easily and there’s no need of any assistant. I usually wake up at 7 in the morning but the clucking clock wakes up me at 6 sharp.
I listened to Phat Fades, Ben and Nadia on Fly FM while brushing my teeth. They are so entertaining and I usually don’t feel sleepy. All thanks to the clucking clock although it hurts me a lot, it made lots of difference. I always come to school early. Earlier than the prefects sometimes. I’ve been taking good care of my clucking clock. To me, it was different. I really don’t want to lose you clock, you are so precious to me. Even though you annoyed me so much but I still love you just like I love my previous Barbie Doll.
One Saturday, Mom did a Pool Party. We invited all our family members. I was so excited that I bought a new swimming suit. We had such a great day. The Pool Party ends with a joy. It was such a tiring day but I was happy and wished Mom will organise the Pool Party again next year. I went to my bedroom to take a bath then I felt something missing in the bedroom. Oh no! Where is my clucking clock?! It’s gone! I looked everywhere in the room. I asked Mom and she looked rather angry at me. Mom, it’s not my fault! I’m sure it’s my cousins’. I suspected it was Adam, the naughtiest cousin in the family. I was so disappointed and wished the clock will be alright. I really love the clock and I don’t want to lose it, not a second. After taking my bath, I heard someone familiar was here, in the house. So I went downstairs and I saw Aunt Mollie and the naughty Adam. I gave a great shocked when I saw my clucking clock was with them. Adam apologized to me that he accidently took the clucking clock. Well, I never really trust him.
Thank goodness the clock is still in a good condition. I don’t know how I’m going to wake up early in the morning without the clock. I promise I will take good care of you clock, I love you.
